Buying Your Gown From Proposals

We know how stressful organising your wedding is, so we like to help make everything as stress free as possible.

Proposals recommend ordering your Wedding Dress around eight to twelve months before your wedding. This allows time for your dress to be delivered and fittings to be carried out.

When you purchase from Proposals a contract will be completed with your order details and a minimum of 50% payment is required as deposit on all gowns ordered however full payment is required for accessories and Off the Peg purchases.

Gowns are normally available four months from date of order. Once received we will contact you to arrange a fitting for you to try on and collect your gown (normally within 7 working days). Please note that fittings cannot be accommodated on Saturday . The 50% balance must be paid on collection.

Proposals does not accommodate fittings on Saturdays as the store can become busy, and this environment is not suitable for fittings where concentration and time are necessary.

Unless your dress is made to measure, most gowns will require some alterations as they are cut to a 'size chart'. Alterations can be discussed at time of ordering; however these costs are not included in the gown cost.

We have on site seamstresses who provide a full fitting and alteration service if required with the opportunity for gowns to be embellished to your own requirements. Please see our Alterations page.
